Dine-ishes

Austin has been infatuated with Dinosaurs since before he could talk. He used to pronounce them "Dine-ish". It has stuck, and now Brian and I use that more often than the real word. Austin used to carry around his little Velociraptor by the tail so much that the color wore off of it. I would wake up to him coming in our room in the mornings, carrying as many of his dinosaurs as he could. He designated different dinosaurs as Daddy, Mommy, Austin and Aubrey, so now when we see those dinosaurs, instead of their real names we refer to them as us. Austin is the Stegasaurus, Aubrey is the Triceratops, and Mommy and Daddy are both Brachiosaurs. I often thought Mommy should have been the T-Rex... He still loves them, but it isn't quite the magical love it used to be. Aubrey hasn't quite embraced the "dine-ishes" yet, but if Austin has anything to do about it, she will.

Our zoo just put up a Dinosaur exhibit, so of course we had to go check it out. Here are some pictures.

Very cool "dine-ishes"! LOL :) I love the new blog layout! Hope you guys had a great weekend. It was gorgeous here, so we did some riding, since we are supposed to get socked w/a big spring snow storm. UGH! Here it is near 70, so hard to believe there will be white stuff on the way. Love and miss you all!

I remember that Rapter he had! I had forgotten that. He sure loved his dinosuars and King Kong. If we could drag Aubrey away from Rocky enough, she might get into Dinosh's too.
