Why I decided to start in the middle of the night I will never know. Maybe because this is the only time I have totally to myself. I can't seem to find time during the day without feeling guilty about not spending time with the kids, or cleaning the house, or watching that ever important re-run of Dharma and Greg. So here I sit, knowing tomorrow will be painful for me. But thankfully there is always nap-time! Sometimes the only thing that gets me out of bed in the morning is naps. The hard part is getting Austin and Aubrey to sleep at the same time, so I can snooze too.
The main reason I decided to start this blog is to record the days of my children. Austin is four, and I have already forgotten so much of his everyday life when he was younger-the funny things he has said and done that at the time I just knew I would not forget...but I have. I don't want to do the same with Aubrey. I want to record those moments out of the day that are defining who my children are becoming. And to share them with anyone who cares to read this.
Another reason for starting this is that I am totally fascinated with this whole blogging thing. I am completely addicted to reading about the lives of people I don't know. I find myself reading random blogs of others I come across and becoming so involved in a stranger's life. It truly intrigues me. I don't know what that says about me, but I guess that is why I am a therapist-I get to hear other people's drama. Maybe it makes my own drama seem insignificant.
I don't have much to talk about in the wee hours of this morning, no brilliant or witty stories, just wanted to start my blog and post a picture of my beautiful kids. More to come...
