Do I have any faithful readers left? I know it has been way too long since my last update and I, again, apologize. Again.
Life continues to be crazy for the Millers. I am proud to say I am still working out four days a week, wasn't sure I would last this long. I am not quite as tired (still exhausted but can most nights function until bedtime) and not nearly as sore (I can at least tie my own shoes and brush my own hair). I think my energy level is a tad bit higher, and my pants are fitting a tad bit better. All in all, success so far. I am not losing the pounds like I wanted as fast as I wanted but it didn't take a month to put on these 40+ pounds so I guess it will take longer than a month to get it off...sigh.
Aubrey is finished with Basketball, I think she really enjoyed the season but was glad it was over. She has her heart set on gymnastics so we are thinking about trying that next. And of course, t-ball starts again for her next month. Austin has only one more game of basketball, so will be done this weekend. As a team they have done okay; they are definitely a baseball team trying to stay in shape for baseball. But overall, they haven't done too badly. Austin has improved so much from last year, and is a much more confident player. It has been fun to watch him grow in the sport. He even has gotten a little feisty, which I like to see.
Baseball is in full swing again. Practice started a few weeks ago, and in addition to fielding practice twice a week the boys are getting hitting instruction from the coach of a college team here. I know Austin is just happy to be playing ball again. The Bulldogs are in their first tournament this weekend already!
Austin (highly encouraged by his dad) entered into a Kid's Culinary Contest through his school. The theme this year was salads. He submitted a recipe for a taco salad, and was chosen as a finalist. Which means...he gets to cook/make his salad for a panel of judges next month! I think he is a bit nervous. He has made his dish for us twice, and will probably do it a few more times for practice. I must say...it is yummy. I will try to remember to take pictures next time he makes it, and at the competition. (I have forgotten my camera a lot lately, I think I only took 2 pictures in January.)
This past week we have gotten a lot of snow, and today we got the gift of a snow day. Which is why you are finally hearing from me. (Again, I will try to do better). Aubrey is busy making yummy Play Doh food for me to eat, and Austin is busy playing his baseball Wii game. A much needed lazy day around here.
