Exhausted

Happy New Year (a few weeks late)! It was my intention to blog earlier with some profound wisdom for the New Year, but honestly if I had any I can't remember what it might have been, and I have been too tired  to even think lately.

With the New Year brought my normal New Year's Resolution of losing weight. This year I finally decided to take action though, so I joined a boot-camp type program with a personal trainer. Which means Monday-Thursday I get up at 4:15 to get to the gym by 5 (in the morning!!!), so that I can get yelled at into shape by an angry 7 foot 400 pound black football player-type trainer. Truth be told I was kinda scared of him my first few days. Now I just hate him...a lot. I have wanted to blog on numerous occasions but haven't been able to lift my arms. Or sit without screaming. I stopped wearing socks because it hurts too much to bend over to put them on. The kids have had to tie my shoes. And after forcing myself to get through the day at work, I have just enough energy to make it to the couch to take a nap until bed-time. Things have been a little neglected around here to say the least. This week was actually the first week it didn't hurt as bad to sit, or walk, or breathe. I am making progress...

Apparently I am not the only one who is tired around here. She must have been exhausted to fall asleep playing the Wii.

Christmas 2012

We had another blessed and fun-filled Christmas at the Miller House this year. My mom and dad finally made it here a few days before Christmas after dodging storms and battling colds. The kids were ecstatic when they finally arrived. We spent lots of time playing and eating and painting. (I put my mom and dad to work in my kitchen painting and tearing out cabinets and putting up new light fixtures. Pictures to come...I still have some painting to do as we didn't quite get as much done as we thought we would.)

The kids kept Grandma and Papa busy putting together legos, doing art projects and playing Mable's Toy Store. Mable, (aka mom), sets up her toy shop every time mom comes to visit and sells the kids' toys back to them. I am not sure why Austin and Aubrey love this so much, maybe it is the Red Neck accent Mable uses or the good deals she gives them on their toys, but they always beg to play it. Lou Lou (aka me) is Mable's partner. She likes to sell puzzles that Glow. In. The. Dark.

Here are some pics from December.

The kiddos after helping decorate the Christmas Tree, and after I re-decorated to make sure the ornaments were evenly dispersed. (Playing with the functions on my camera here, I like the effect!)

 Waiting to see Santa...

 My beautiful kiddos

Christmas Morning...notice it is still dark outside. I had to make the kids wait until 6 am to get up. Naps were definitely a part of Christmas afternoon.

Christmas Day...we had a White Christmas!!!
