I have always wanted to go to a Renaissance Fair. They have one every year here, and I always thought the kids would enjoy it, but we have failed to make it every year. Until today...

The Plague Doctor (apparently doctors in the time of the plague wore outfits like this to protect themselves, with the belief that the plague was spread by birds. So this get up would "lure" the plague out of the victims by the bird man.

A HUGE horse. There were camels and elephants and llamas to choose from to ride, but Aubrey picked the horses. And almost backed out. But she did great!

Austin got to try his hand at his own acrobatic skills. He wasn't quite prepared for how high he was going to go, and I could tell he was scared. We tried to get him to do the flips he was excited to try before he got up there, but I think he was just doing good to hang on. He later said he threw up a little bit in his mouth. Thankfully, this was before the yummy fair food...
