Aubrey liked the much smaller animals. She could have pet this bunny all day!

Farm Fun
Austin and Aubrey were invited to a birthday party at a Family Farm this past weekend. It would have been a lot more fun had the weather cooperated, but it was cold and rainy so activities were cut short. But we did get to ride the train around the farm, ride the ponies, pet some animals, and ride a carousel. I think the kids had a good time, at least they said they did once they thawed out!

Aubrey said she wanted to ride a pony, but when the time came she wanted nothing to do with the real ones. She was content sitting on this pony.

Play Ball
Saturday was Austin's first T-Ball game of the season (pre-season game, still haven't gotten our jersey's yet). It was cold and rainy, but we played. The one last week did get cancelled due to snow. Austin did awesome! He played at the pitcher's position, and got most every ball hit his way, and threw a few kids out at first. He got some good hits and was excited because he got 2 RBI's as well as scored twice. His last hit would have went all the way to the fence if the runner on second would have been paying attention and not gotten hit by the ball. We lost by 2 runs, but played a good game. After the game was over, I told Austin how very proud I was of him. He said "but we lost!". Good lesson; mommy is proud of you win or lose. He had a lot of fun, and can't wait for the next game!
Mighty Austin at the bat.
Getting ready to slide into home.
What a fielder!

Remember Me?
Good Grief! Where do the days go? Has it really been almost a month since I last posted? I could come up with a million excuses in addition to the last ones for not updating more often but most of them would be made up. So I will spare you for now. Other than apparently there was some "suspicious activity" under my blogger account and I couldn't sign in and panicked about never being able to access my blog again. I don't know what "suspicious activity" means, unless it includes not touching it for several weeks! Thankfully I think it has been resolved, but I am still having problems putting a picture at the top of my page. I will say we have been very busy, but I am not really sure with what!
Austin and Aubrey are on spring break this week. The weather has not really cooperated, it has been cold and windy. Tomorrow is supposed to be beautiful, and then we are supposed to get a blizzard on Saturday. Just in time for Austin's first T-Ball game of the season. Brian is coaching again, but we are playing through a city league instead of the YMCA, they are a lot more serious about their baseball! Real outs and rules and scoring, very exciting. Brian was not planning on coaching, but at the parent meeting he had to fill out a card to sign Austin up, and it asked what team Austin wanted to play for and Brian said any team but the Yankees. They couldn't guarantee that Austin wouldn't be placed on the Yankees unless Brian started his own team and became a coach, so he did. That is some serious hate for the Yankees y'all. (I am not really even sure if this league has a team called the Yankees, or if they are just that sly at roping people into being coaches). I think he has regretted this hasty decision since, because like I said, they are a lot more serious about their baseball, but it will be an adventure. (And I have regretted it too, because a lot of the communicating with parents, collecting the dues and forms has fallen on my shoulders...) We had to order jerseys for the team, and Brian got them sponsored and paid for by the Porsche club, so that is pretty cool. I bet no one can guess what our team name is...I will post pictures when they come in.
Other than that we are the same-same as my kids would say. We haven't done anything new and exciting, and I haven't taken a lot of pictures lately, so there hasn't been much to blog about. And my creative juices have been frozen due to lack of sleep/energy, and the cold weather outside. I will try and do better!

We did make a quick trip to the zoo on Sunday just to get out of the house. Austin and Aubrey are posing by the "crockagator"-Aubrey has coined this name. I think it is one that will stick...
