Another Update, Again

So we are back in the full swing of things and our schedules are hectic and we are on the go-go-go and there isn't a minute in the day that isn't spoken for and...Okay, so I have been lazy again.

The kids are finally back on their schedules after a wonderful break and a few extra 'snow days' off for...drum roll...COLD. Yep, no snow, no ice, it was just too darn cold. Austin was back in school for three days, then had two days off because it was around 4 degrees or something. Really? These people would never survive in Wyoming. He then had the next Monday off for a Teacher Planning day and this Monday off for MLK Jr. day, so next week will be his first full week of school since before break. Crazy. I can't say we really have done anything exciting except watch a lot of football and play an infinite number of Monopoly games. Austin has really gotten into Monopoly, and so we have all been playing daily. Aubrey is my little helper, she likes to roll the dice.We have a lot of fun unless Brian plays, because as most of you know, it is not any fun playing any game with Brian, who always wins.

Aubrey and I got a chance to go to the zoo this week on our day off, it was a nice day and we enjoyed some time out of the house. We were almost accosted by the squirrels who must have been starving, and Aubrey was nice enough to share her Nilla Wafers which probably made it worse!



I have started walking again a few times per week, and would like to say it is because I am motivated and charged about exercising and getting in shape and blah blah blah. But truth be told we started a walking challenge at work again and winner takes all. The pot isn't that big ($50) but being as how I am a very competitive person, I have to win. So I am walking as much as possible in between watching TV and napping, and I am hoping the end result is that I get motivated and charged about exercising and getting in shape and blah blah blah...

Anyway, that is another update for us. One of my resolutions was to be better about posting more often, hopefully I will start working on this one soon!

Happy New Year 2010

Our 2 week break is almost over. Austin goes back to school tomorrow, and Aubrey starts back to Mother's Day Out again this week. I have another busy work week ahead, and since I have been lazy at home this whole break, especially this last weekend together, I also have a house to clean this week. All of my New Year's Resolutions start tomorrow as well (if you would like to know what is on my list, just refer back to last year's list, they are all the same).

We spent New Year's Eve with good friends, but were in home and in bed before Midnight. I know what you are thinking, we are quite the party animals. It was pretty nice outside New Year's Day, so we took the kids to the park and played in the snow for a while until we were all sufficiently cold and wet.
